Jolianne Salvado went to China wondering whether even three people would show up. Shanghai clearly did not receive the memo. They packed her first venue. They sang back to her. Some fans even flew in to watch her China shows. So much for three people and an awkward sound check. For the Cebuana singer-songwriter, her first tour began with a discovery: an audience she had barely known existed already knew her music. “Shanghai, you were the very first stop of my very first tour!” she wrote on Instagram. “I couldn’t have asked for a better start.”
