Filipino talent takes center stage in Beijing as Philippines seeks new markets, investments and jobs

A new customer for a Philippine product. A new client for a Filipino business. A new partnership that could help a young graduate find work back home. These are the opportunities the Philippines hopes to turn into reality at the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), running September 9–13 at Shougang Park in western Beijing. Under the theme “Philippines: Islands of Opportunity,” the Philippine Pavilion brings together tourism, food, education, investment, and services in a showcase designed to turn visitors’ interest into business connections. The goal reaches beyond the exhibition floor: build partnerships in Beijing that could generate income, support livelihoods, and create opportunities in the Philippines. In a document provided by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center–Beijing (PTIC-Beijing) to TSAMNews.com, the country’s participation focuses on connecting Chinese visitors and companies directly with Philippine businesses, institutions, and investment opportunities. The approximately 120-square-meter pavilion, it said, is separated into “islands” and combines digital displays, presentations, consultations and meetings, giving visitors a place to explore what the Philippines offers—and meet the people behind it.
