Together with Bong Antivola, Yours truly, Rhio Zablan, visited Bela Fiesta to discover a place where the flavors of home — from sisig and adobo to sinigang and halo-halo — bring Filipinos together while introducing Chinese diners to the rich cuisine and culture of the Philippines. What makes Bela Fiesta even more meaningful is its story. The restaurant is owned by Chinese entrepreneur 赛宗良 (Sài Zōngliáng), a lover of Filipino cuisine, and its kitchen features Filipino culinary expertise and ingredients sourced from the Philippines.
