A $US60-million harvest: Philippine exports soar at CAEXPO as business builds bridges with China

Durian may divide a room by smell, but at this year’s China-ASEAN Expo, it helped bring Filipino sellers and Chinese buyers together—to the tune of millions of dollars. Philippine exporters generated a record $US60 million in reported export sales at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) 2026, the country’s highest tally since joining the event in 2004, according to the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM). That is a milestone worth celebrating well beyond the exhibition floor.
